Engineering solutions to potable water supply
systems and protection of a water supply source demand a knowledgeable and
technically efficient staff. Our environmental personnel have designed numerous
municipal, commercial and industrial waterworks facilities from the well and
pump design to telemetry systems used for automatic and supervisory pump
control. Environmental staff have also designed complete water treatment
facilities capable of removing iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide and other
contaminants or irritants found in raw water supply systems. Project design
solutions always address the cost-effectiveness, ease of operation and
maintenance for each project undertaken.
Within the Environmental Engineering department,
clients are also provided with report preparation, facility planning, rate
studies, estimates of cost, fire flow analysis, project construction observation
and grant and loan application preparation for project funding from various
State and Federal Agencies.
In addition, the staff of the Environmental
Engineering Department conducts continuous study and research of technical
reports, policy statements and guidelines provided by the State and Federal
Environmental Protection Agencies to assure that we are always providing clients
with the most up-to-date regulations and criteria available.
