EXPERIENCE
Craig is Head of the Survey Department for
the Freeport and Monroe offices of Willett, Hofmann & Associates
and oversees all surveyors and survey activities in Freeport and
Monroe.
Craig has been an active surveyor for
twelve years, with extensive experience in field data
collection, office analysis and project management. His primary
area of specialization is the completion of complicated boundary
surveys and title investigations.
Craig’s professional experience includes
ALTA / ACSM surveys, topographical surveys, subdivisions,
construction stakeout, condominium surveys and elevation
certificates. He is highly skilled at reading and interpreting
title reports and legal descriptions and uses these talents to
assist clients on a daily basis.
Craig’s abilities also include the use of
computer aided design and drafting tools. He uses the
advantages of computer hardware and software in conjunction with
electronic total stations and data collectors to seamlessly
transfer field data into a completed plat of survey. These
skills allow Craig to manage a client’s project from the initial
client contact to the final signing and sealing of the completed
document.
PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Hertz Farm
Management - Winslow Farm
Craig is the project manager for an
on-going survey of approximately 2,000 acres of agricultural
land that is being split into at least 12 tracts for multiple
buyers. The project has involved some very complex parcels
requiring extensive title research.
Goodyear
Tire & Rubber Company - ALTA Survey
As project manager of surveying, Craig
provided surveying services for the completion of an American
Land Title Association Survey (ALTA) on an existing
manufacturing facility consisting of six individual tracts. The
work involved review of an existing title report, Courthouse
research, coordination with the Stephenson County Highway
Department and IDOT, field data collection, setting of survey
monumentation and AutoCAD drafting.
Aquascape
Designs, Inc - New Corporate Headquarters
The client required civil engineering and
surveying services to complete the Planned Unit Development
Application for the new facility and office headquarters of
Aquascape Designs, Inc., a pond supply manufacturer in the
Chicago suburbs. As survey project manager, Craig coordinated
the ALTA survey by supervising the field investigation, data
collection and AutoCAD drafting.
Condominium Surveys
Craig has been involved in a number of
condominium surveys, most recently Oak View Terrace Condos
(Lena, IL), Cherokee Court Condos (Freeport, IL) and Highland
Heights Condos (Freeport, IL). He stays up-to-date on the
complex legal aspects of condominium survey requirements.
I.D.O.T. -
Route 26 Right-of-Way Acquisition
As project manager, Craig prepared
right-of-way plats, easement plats, legal descriptions, and
premise plats for Illinois Route 26 south of Forreston, IL. The
work included locating and setting survey monuments at all
corners in accordance with Illinois Department of Transportation
survey standards.
Lena Fire
Department - Site Improvement Survey
The client requested professional
engineering and land surveying services to prepare the bidding,
permitting and construction documents for the proposed Lena Fire
Station. This required a boundary survey, topographical survey
and civil site improvements. As project manager of surveying,
Craig supervised the boundary and topographical survey which
included field investigation and data collection, setting of
property corner pins, and preparing plats.
