WORK EXPERIENCE

 

John is Head of the Survey Department at Willett, Hofmann & Associates and has over thirty-seven years of surveying experience in Northern Illinois.  He will oversee all survey activities. 

 

John is knowledgeable and experienced in the preparation of subdivision plats, route surveys, boundary surveys, right-of-way plats, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement plats and construction surveys.  John  manages personnel in the Survey Department to accomplish projects in an accurate and timely fashion utilizing established Illinois Land Surveying practices and I.D.O.T. standards, policies and procedures.

 

 

RECENT PROJECTS

 

Ogle County Geodetic Control Network, Ogle County, Illinois

This project included  over 250 control points.  John conducted mission planning, coordinated GPS data collection, reduced data and adjusted final network.  John also served as project manager for the county-wide first-order control network, and prepared the planning of the project to control efficiency. 

 

FAP Route 595 (IL 5) Section 142R, Rock Island County, Illinois

John performed aerial targeting, provided GPS data collection and performed electronic leveling.

 

FAU Route 301 (US 20) Section 30M-1, Jo Daviess, County, Illinois

John determined the centerline and right of way.

 

FA Route 17 (IL 64) Section 102RS-5, Ogle County.

This project included plats and staking.

 

Illinois Department of Transportation - District 2

For many years John has performed miscellaneous incidental work for the Bureau of Land Acquisition and Surveys.  His state contracts are regularly renewed, due to the accuracy and efficiency of his work. 

 

NEPCO/PCL - Nelson, Illinois

John provided direct staking for construction, as-built measurements and  quality control surveys.

 

Illinois Department of Transportation

John determined the establishment of section/block corners and referencing corners to route centerlines.  He also prepared right of way documents.
