WORK EXPERIENCE

Geoff is the Transportation Department Manager and has twenty-six years of experience in the transportation field.

For twenty-two years Geoff worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation.  Throughout his IDOT career Geoff held positions with the Bureau of Planning, Bureau of Construction, Bureau of Land Acquisition and the Bureau of Program Development and worked as a Location Studies Engineer, Project Support Engineer, Geometric Engineer, Design Squad Leader and Resident Engineer.  His diverse experience required him to master a variety of tasks required for planning, developing, implementing and maintaining the IDOT transportation system.

After retiring from IDOT, Geoff worked in private industry where he worked in site development with both public and private entities, easily navigating through the coordination and approval process for multiple state and local agencies.

Geoff frequently works with the public.  He is an expert in public involvement, and while at IDOT served on a committee that developed the Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) guidelines still in use by IDOT today.

As a result of his experience, Geoff has the capability to see your transportation project from many different angles, resulting in a project done as efficiently and as cost effectively as possible.
