From the design of non-lagoon livestock waste handling facilities—including waste holding basins, clarifiers, bedded pack barns, slatted confinement buildings and concrete manure storage structures—to the design of Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMP) for beef, swine, horses, sheep, and chickens, Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc. Agricultural Engineering experts find solutions to projects of every scope and complexity.

We are a United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Technical Service Provider (TSP), experienced in working with the Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Natural Resources, and the NRCS for project permitting and design standards—as well as having worked with the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) to provide financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers. A proven innovator, the WHA agricultural engineering design staff has created unique solutions for methane gas digesters and manure reception pits, providing some of the earliest facilities in Northwest Illinois the means for converting methane gas into electricity.
