Land Surveying

Land Surveying is fundamental in Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc.’s history. WHA has maintained an archive spanning over 75 years of survey records. Our survey crews are well trained and equipped with state of the art equipment for all surveying projects, including survey-grade GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers, robotic total stations, electronic total stations with digital data collectors and digital levels. Vital information and measurements can be downloaded to computer drafting stations, kick-starting the generation of necessary plats or maps to get a project underway.

The Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc. Land Surveying Department provides ALTA/ACSM surveys, boundary and property surveys, topographic and route surveys, and platting and development surveys, as well as construction staking services for projects of all sizes and complexities. Our Land Surveying Department is uniquely equipped and qualified to perform bathymetric surveys. Using echo-sounder technology, we can collect accurate underwater data to produce topographic surveys of the bottom of rivers, lakes, ponds and other bodies of water.

WHA’s expertise in residential, commercial and industrial subdivision layout melds the talent and resources from our Engineering and Surveying Departments. Synchronization between the disciplines leads to lots that are laid out for land-use efficiency, but with care taken to ensure the property remains attractive to potential buyers.
