Civil Engineering Technician
Civil Engineering Intern I
Our Dixon, Illinois office is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Intern I with a minimum requirement of a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, with coursework in Structural Engineering, and Permanent U.S. work authorization. Working under direct supervision of a Staff, Project or a Senior Engineer, perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Duties: assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects; assist in the development of probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department; assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project; prepare design computations and quantity estimates; assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for project; instruct draftspersons / technicians to reduce designs to working drawings; review construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents; and serve as onsite project representative.
Entry Level Transportation Engineer
Our Dixon, Illinois office is seeking an engineer with 2+ years of experience. This full-time position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Transportation emphasis. Those with a Master’s degree, Licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) and graduates who are working towards their professional license (E.I. and E.I.T.) are also encouraged to apply. Experience in Transportation and Municipal Design and Construction is desired.
