Phase I, II & III Services

WHA was the lead firm for a two-block section of Main Street in the Village of Ashton. This project consisted of the reconstruction of the sidewalks, updating and upgrading of the storm sewer system, street lighting and roadway improvements. One of the main project goals was to improve the accessibility of the downtown store fronts. This involved designing ramps for multiple store fronts and block corners. There were several store front vaults that needed to be blocked up and filled. Street lighting was also upgraded with new decorative poles and lamps. The Main Street pavement required selective grinding and patching, some of which was required for grade changes for store front accessibility. Along with Main Street pavement, the side streets of Douglas, Evans, and Brown Avenues were rehabilitated as well.
